Make a safe bike!
Although the basic principle of today's bicycle has hardly changed for over 100 years, technological progress in the last 10 years has been extreme. The electric drive in particular has brought more and more power, more speed and therefore the highest demands on the frame, chassis and brakes in order to stay safely in the saddle.
The good old days when customers assembled their bikes themselves are coming to an end.
Today, bicycles are produced every minute on modern assembly lines of mass manufacturers, as we know it from the automotive industry. Customized bikes are often built in highly specialized workshops, even there under the highest quality and safety requirements.
Striking in both scenarios: Assembly with simple Allen and torque wrenches is transforming into a monitored and documented process with controlled screwdriving systems. Why?
Guidelines and standards apply to road vehicles, and manufacturers must produce according to the current state of science and technology.
With regard to bolted connections, this also applies to two-wheelers:
Distinguish between safety-critical, function-critical and other connections and select a suitable assembly and monitoring procedure.
Take the brake system, for example. If a bolted connection fails, this is usually safety-critical. Faulty bolting must therefore be avoided at all costs or at least detected immediately before the two-wheeler is put into circulation.
More and more manufacturers, whether large series or customized, are therefore relying on proven screwdriving processes that have been used in other industries for many years.
Of course, the requirements differ between series and individual items, but they are identical in terms of safety.
With the TorqBee series, HST offers the ideal solution for a monitoring and documentation-capable cordless screwdriving system.
